Breaking New Records in Production and Exports in 2021 TürkTraktör Manufactured 1 Millionth Tractor
TürkTraktör, the first manufacturer of the Turkish automotive sector, is proud to manufacture its 1 millionth tractor, a symbol of its history of 68 years. Author of hundreds of innovations that shape the agricultural sector, TürkTraktör passed another milestone in its history of achievements with the production of 1 millionth tractor. At the press conference broadcast live from the Sakarya Erenler Factory, Aykut Özüner, TürkTraktör’s CEO, gave information on the 1 millionth tractor and announced 2021 financial results as well as TürkTraktör's vision of future.Emphasizing TürkTraktör’s focus on sustainability and productivity in agriculture, Aykut Özüner, TürkTraktör’s CEO, said: “Our mission is to help farmers prepare for the future. We work to offer the best to Turkish farmers thanks to our powerful and flexible capacity. With the production of our 1 millionth tractor, we turned a new page in our history of achievements.”
“1 Millionth Tractor is an Important Milestone for TürkTraktör”
Özüner explained the meaning of manufacturing 1 million tractors: “Today, the global tractor market manufactures 1.6 million tractors annually while the current tractor pool in Turkey consists of about 1.3 million tractors. These numbers prove the importance of manufacturing 1 million tractors for TürkTraktör. We are very proud and happy to reach this milestone. We dedicate this achievement to all our old and new employees, dealers, authorized services, suppliers and shareholders who have helped and supported us throughout our history.”
TürkTraktör started its activities in 1954 as Turkey's first manufacturer in the automotive sector, and manufactured its first tractor in 1955. The company's 500,000th tractor left the production line in 2007.
Realizing 67% of Turkey's tractor production and 88% of its exports in 2021, TürkTraktör has been the leader of the tractor market for 15 years in a row.

Reaching an important milestone with the production of the 1 millionth tractor, TürkTraktör continues to focus on sustainability. Stating sustainability as one of the strategic priorities of TürkTraktör, Özüner said: “The climate change and the pandemic showed that a sustainable future is not a choice, but an obligation. The strategic importance and value of the agricultural sector is felt more and more with each passing day. As one of the key players of the sector, one of our primary goals is to leave a better world to future generations. Drawing power from its experience of 68 years, TürkTraktör shapes the modern agriculture. Aware of our responsibility for the sector, we prepared the Future of Agriculture Vision, which consists of five items. A Year of Records in Production and Exports
Despite the uncertainties caused by the pandemic, 2021 was a year of achievements for TürkTraktör. Manufacturing its 1 millionth tractor, the company broke new financial records. Announcing company’s financial results for 2021 at the press conference, Aykut Özüner, TürkTraktör’s CEO, said: “As TürkTraktör, we maintained our leadership in 2021 in Turkey, the world's 4th largest tractor market. We are proud to be the market leader 23 times in the last 35 years. What’s more, we have never left the leading position for the last 15 years. While our New Holland brand maintains its leadership in the market, our Case IH brand succeeded in rising to the 2nd place in the market. We increased our tractor production by 41% in 2021 to 48,560 units, the highest number in our history. Moreover, we broke a new record in exports, increasing our volume by 29% in 2021 to 16,176 units. We also enjoyed a 40% increase in total sales, thus reaching a turnover of TRY11 billion 644 million. Operating profit margin and EBITDA margin were 13.5% and 14.9%, respectively. Thanks to all these marvelous results, we completed 2021 with a net profit of TRY1 billion 322 million
