TürkTraktör’s New Economic and Eco-Friendly Initiative: Ekonpar Renewed Component Project
TürkTraktör, the first manufacturer in the Turkish automotive sector, continues its sustainability projects. TürkTraktör is proud to announce the Renewed Component Project Ekonpar, developed by the TürkTraktör Construction Equipment Business Unit. Ekonpar aims to reduce environmental pollution by extending the economic life of used components. Under the project, TürkTraktör renews the still usable parts of the components by making additions, if required, thus making components usable under the assurance of TürkTraktör.Adopting the philosophy of "Transforming Cities to be Ready for Future" in the construction equipment sector, TürkTraktör implements eco-friendly ideas with innovative approaches. TürkTraktör now takes an important step in reducing waste and recovering scrap with the Renewed Component Project Ekonpar, offering economic and quality products for construction equipment users. Speaking about this important milestone, Boğaç Ertekin, Group Manager of TürkTraktör Construction Equipment Business Unit, said: “While we continue to grow by taking confident steps in the construction equipment sector, we, with a history of almost 70 years, are always aware of our responsibility to the world and the people. That’s why in our business practices we prioritize leaving a better world to future generations. We entered the construction equipment sector with our CASE and New Holland brand construction equipment in 2013. Since then we have been expanding our activities through continuous and permanent investments. As part of this approach, we took a new step in 2020 and started to manufacture CASE and New Holland brand backhoe loader construction equipment in our Ankara Factory. As TürkTraktör, we always aim to achieve and offer the best in the field of construction equipment. Our Renewed Component Project, Ekonpar, reflects this understanding. We believe that nature is our most precious asset so we tried to understand how to reduce the repair/replacement needs of components used by our customers. We have seen that in case of need for repair in components we can make a significant difference in time, cost and environmental impact by using renewed components instead of buying new ones or repairing them. Thanks to TürkTraktör's technical capabilities, we renew a used component by adding new parts according to its original features, making it usable again. This is a very important step for the circular economy. What’s more, by preventing the scrapping of used parts, we are one step closer to our goals of reducing environmental pollution.”
An Important Step to Reduce Carbon Footprint
With the Renewed Component Project Ekonpar, TürkTraktör takes an important step towards reducing its carbon footprint. TürkTraktör is a part of the Carbon Transformation Program, launched by Koç Holding to combat the climate crisis. The Program contains concrete and applicable steps to realize the Holding’s goal of reaching carbon neutral level by 2050.
