In Spite Of The Coronavirus Break, TürkTraktör Increases Production By 23% In The First Half Of 2020

TürkTraktör increased its production by 23% in the first half of the year compared to the same period of the previous year by continuing to manufacture with the measures against pandemic at all work sites. 
 
TürkTraktör announced the financial results for the first half of 2020. TürkTraktör, the leading manufacturer of the sector, displayed a successful performance in the first half of the year by increasing its production, domestic sales and revenue despite of the challenges of coronavirus.
 
TürkTraktör continued its production at its Ankara and Erenler plants, taking measures against coronavirus approved by TSE Safe Facility Certificate. 12 thousand 357 tractors had been rolled off the production lines in the first half of the year, production increased by 23% compared to the same period of the previous year. TürkTraktör performed singlehandedly 71% of the total tractor production of Turkey according to the figures for the first five months.
 
The increased sales strengthened its position in the market. 
 
Increasing its sales 68% compared to the same period of the previous year with a total domestic sales figure of 7 thousand 326 tractors, the tractor giant reinforced its uninterrupted market leadership for 13 years.
 
TürkTraktör that exports its tractors to more than 130 countries performed singlehandedly 86% of the overall tractor export of Turkey with an export figure of 5 thousand 786 tractors in the first half.
 
TürkTraktör closed the first half of the year with a total revenue of 2 billion 179 million TL. While the gross profit of the company was 380 million TL and the gross profit margin was 17.4%, the operating profit was 211 million TL and EBITDA was 278 million TL. The operating profit margin and EBITDA margin of the company were 9.7% and 12.8%, respectively. The net profit of TürkTraktör was recorded as 161 million TL.

Aykut Özüner, TürkTraktör General Manager assessed the financial results for the first half of 2020. "Despite of the challenging market conditions of the last 2 years, we carried our leadership to its 13th year. And the outbreak brought all new difficulties. Restarting our production with a roadmap drawn in line with these new difficult conditions benefiting from our 65 years of experience and strong financial structure, we managed to surpass even the pre-pandemic production figures and thus strengthened our position in the market further." said Özüner.
 
Our crisis plan for the outbreak was ready in February. 
 
Aykut Özüner also talked about the measures taken against coronavirus, referring to as the key of this success in the first half of the year. "We had established our own pandemic board and prepared our crisis plan in February. Considering the risk of spread, we had taken numerous measures throughout our ecosystem extending from our customers to our dealers. Besides home office working system, we had also paused our manufacturing operations at our plants. And before restarting production, we re-structured all the processes in employee lifecycle with physical distance and traceability. As a conclusion of all these efforts, our Ankara and Erenler Plants are entitled to TSE Covid-19 Safe Production Certificate, making TürkTraktör the pioneer of its sector once again."
 
We did our best to support everyone in this outbreak period from farmers to health proffesionals
 
Özüner added that they had put into practice various supportive projects for farmers that play a crucial role in food supply during the outbreak, and summarized these projects: "We provided Mobile Road Support for on-site service to ensure sustainability in agricultural production. We offered our pioneer My Mobile Land app free of charge to increase agricultural productivity, and continued to support our farmers with online trainings that were also free. Furthermore, we cooperated with our group company Tat A.Ş. to enable hygienic working conditions in fields for seasonal workers."
 
Aykut Özüner also mentioned that they have taken actions to support different groups of the society. "We also did our part regarding the medical equipment need in the healthcare sector. We had manufactured intubation and biological sampling cabins in our Ankara and Sakarya Erenler plants, highly needed by the healthcare professionals fighting the outbreak at the forefront with great devotion and effort, and we had delivered them to the pandemic hospitals." said Özüner.
