We Start Exporting Tractors With First Locally Produced "Tier 5" Emission Compliant Engines.
Before Tier 5 emission standards regulation which shall take effect in Europe, we started offering our locally produced tractors with new generation environment-friendly engines which we, as TürkTraktör, have developed and produced in our premises.TürkTraktör, the leading company of the tractor market, continues its pioneering activities in its industry in many different fields.
The company has been manufacturing engines since 1994 and rolled off the 500,000th engine last year. TürkTraktör has now upgraded its New Holland T4S and Case IH FarmallA tractors from Stage 3B emission level to Stage V emission standards, in line with the rules defined by the European Union (EU). TürkTraktör has also started to export tractors equipped with these engines.
Stage V engines are both designed and manufactured in Turkey
TürkTraktör has completed the process of developing Stage V emission standards-compliant engines before the enactment of the standard which will require using engines with Stage V emission level on vehicles in the European Union (EU) member countries.
The teams of Turkish engineers at TürkTraktör’s R&D Center have completed the design and test processes under the scope of Stage V engine development efforts. Upon the successful completion of all these processes, mass production of the next generation local engines has been started at the engine production facility in Ankara.
These tractors of New Holland and Case IH brands with locally-produced Stage V engines have been exported to the European countries, mainly Germany, the UK, Italy, and France for the European farmers’ use since August this year.
Aykut Özüner : “We are pleased that TürkTraktör has blazed another trail in the agricultural machinery industry and produced engines that comply with Stage V emission standards”.
TürkTraktör CEO Aykut Özüner said, as TürkTraktör they have a privileged position with both their uninterrupted leadership in the market, and their pioneering identity, which enables them to put their hallmark on many ‘firsts’ on many fields, and commented on the efforts under Stage V engine as follows:
“Stage V emission standards regulation will be introduced in Europe soon. Last month, we started to produce our engines, which were developed using the cutting-edge technology with the works of our engineers and manufactured in our facilities. We were glad to produce an engine that complies with Stage V emission standards, for the first time in the agricultural industry.
We exported our 10 locally produced tractors with Stage V engines as first step; our production and exports will continue with an ever-increasing trend.”
