TürkTraktör Had An Impact On 2020
Performing 68% of the total tractor production and 86% of tractor exports volume of Turkey, TürkTraktör had a great first year in domestic construction equipment production started in 2020TürkTraktör announced the financial results for 2020. The leader of the sector for 14 years in a row, TürkTraktör achieved a great success in exports and domestic sales despite the challenging conditions caused by the pandemic.
In 2020 TürkTraktör manufactured 34,337 tractors in its factories granted with the TSE Safe Production Certificate, with an increase of 51% compared to the previous year. TürkTraktör also performed 68% of the total tractor production volume of Turkey.
The tractor giant continued to introduce the state-of-the-art tractors to the Turkish farmers with a domestic sales volume of 22,384 units. Moreover, TürkTraktör prided itself on delivering 12,553 tractors manufactured in Turkey to more than 130 countries from the Americas to Japan.
The significant increase in the production volume boosted the 2020 revenue of TürkTraktör with an increase of 64% amounting to TRY6 billion 243 million. TürkTraktör enjoyed an operating profit margin of 15% and EBIDTA margin of 17%. The net profit amounted to TRY776 million.

Evaluating the activities in 2020, Aykut Özüner, TürkTraktör CEO, emphasized the company’s focus on the sustainable agricultural production during the pandemic, saying: “In order to ensure a continuous food supply under the harsh conditions of the pandemic, our priority was to support Turkish farmers who work devotedly in their fields. Our brands enjoyed a very successful year with New Holland leading the market and Case IH rising to the 4th place from the 7th place in 2019. TürkTraktör was once again the market leader for the 14th year in a row."
Turkey ready for transition to the new emission standards
Aykut Özüner states that TürkTraktör completed the preparation for transition to the Stage IIIB and Stage IV emission standards, which will gradually enter into force in Turkey in 2021 as well as the tractor main framework regulation. He added: “TürkTraktör has been manufacturing tractors in compliance with the Stage IIIB and Stage IV emission levels, which have been in force since 2014 in Europe and North America. These tractors were marketed to the farmers around the globe. We are also ready for transition to the new emission standards in Turkey. We started the production and sale of some models in January.”
Leader in tractor exports
As the company with the first tractor export from Turkey, TürkTraktör experienced another wonderful year in sales to foreign markets, realizing 86% of the total tractor exports volume of Turkey.
Stating that after lack of activities due to the pandemic, the foreign market enjoyed a significant growth in the second half of the year, Aykut Özüner said: “We started to export our tractors equipped with Stage V engines developed and manufactured by TürkTraktör.”

Speaking about TürkTraktör’s activities in the construction equipment sector, Aykut Özüner said: “Since our first day in the construction equipment sector, we have focused on domestic production just like the agriculture sector. 2020 was a remarkable year for us. We started the domestic production of backhoe loaders, and reached an impressive sales volume of 150 backhoe loaders in the first year. Our investments and works on the domestic backhoe loader production boosted our activities in the construction equipment sector, increasing our sales by 58%. We will maintain our achievements both in the tractor and construction equipment sectors, and continue to grow exponentially in 2021.”
